Managing online reputations is paramount for businesses and thanks to Google Business, it can be done with utter ease. Google Reviews, being a prominent platform, plays a pivotal role in shaping public perception. However, inappropriate reviews can adversely affect a company’s image. Hence, Google allows a brand to report a review if they find the review to be suspicious or malicious.

Please note that Google does not allow a brand to edit or delete Google reviews posted on their profile. However, it allows users to edit or delete a review they have posted from their profile for a business. Let’s understand how this is done.

Can you Delete Google Reviews?

As stated above, Businesses do not have direct control over deleting Google Reviews. However, they can flag reviews that violate Google’s policies, such as containing hate speech or being fraudulent. As an alternative, they can respond to Google reviews professionally, addressing concerns and offering resolutions. In cases of egregious violations, brands can request Google’s intervention through the Google My Business platform.

Being a user, you can edit or delete your reviews through your Google account. If you added a review about a brand and you no longer resonate with it, you can easily remove it. You can also edit the review to update the other readers if your concern is resolved by the brand or not.
